After breakfast, head to Château de Chambord in the Loire Valley, one of the largest and most magnificent Renaissance castles in France and one of the most renowned castles in the world. Château de Chambord is a prime example of French Renaissance architecture, built in the early 16th century. Its architecture blends Gothic and Renaissance elements, showcasing the pinnacle of architectural art at the time. The castle is famous for its unique double helix staircase, designed by Italian architect Leonardo da Vinci, allowing two people to ascend and descend without meeting. Château de Chambord was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1981, becoming a highlight among the many castles in the Loire Valley region.Then proceed to the city of Tours, which has a long history dating back to Roman times. In the Middle Ages, it became an important commercial and cultural center. The city’s architecture and style reflect influences from different historical periods, including medieval, Renaissance, and modern times. In the heart of Angouleme’s ancient cobbled alleys, there’s a hint of Montmartre. Pause at an outdoor café on Place des Halles or Place Francis Louvel to enjoy a drink and experience the pleasant atmosphere of Angouleme.After lunch, head to the Dune du Pilat, the tallest sand dune on the Atlantic coast of France, located in the Aquitaine region near the Atlantic beaches. This dune is the tallest in Europe, with a height of about 110 to 117 meters, a length of about 2.7 kilometers, and a width of about 500 meters. Its shape is constantly changing, influenced by sea winds and sand. The Dune du Pilat was formed by the action of waves, wind, and rivers. It is a natural evolution product on the Atlantic coast, continuously formed by sand blown by the wind. To protect this natural wonder, there are some restrictions and regulations, such as limited climbing areas and visiting hours. Saint Emilion is a charming town in the Bordeaux wine region, renowned for its world-famous wines, historic wineries, and unique architec- ture. Saint Emilion is an important area in the Bordeaux wine region, considered one of France’s key wine-producing areas. The region is known for producing high-quality red wines, primarily made from Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes. The Saint Emilion area includes the entire town and its surrounding vineyards and has been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This region is considered the “birthplace of Bordeaux wine.” The town itself has a unique history and architectural style. Narrow streets, ancient stone houses, and charming small squares create a pleasant environment, making visitors feel as if they have traveled back to the Middle Ages. This architectural style is reflected in many of the city’s buildings, adding unique charm to the city.After lunch, head to Pont du Gard. Pont du Gard is an architectural marvel from the Roman era, located in the south of France, about 25 kilometers north of Avignon, spanning the Gardon River. Pont du Gard was built in the 1st century BC and is one of the aqueduct bridges from the Roman period. It was part of the famous Roman aqueduct, the Aqueduct of Nîmes, designed to carry water from near Uzès to the ancient Roman city of Nîmes. The Aqueduct of Nîmes is an astonishing engineering feat that provided the city with a clean water source. Due to its excellent design and well-preserved state, Pont du Gard was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1985.
